DATA & PRIVACY

Privacy Policy

Explanation of browser local data handling, shopping cart storage, and frontend architecture.

1. Scope of This Privacy Notice

This privacy notice governs your interactions with Avenwick (accessible at https://avenwick.site/). We respect the privacy of every photographer visiting our platform and are committed to complete transparency regarding what data is collected and how it is processed.

2. Browser-Local Storage Architecture

Avenwick is built with a privacy-respecting client-side architecture. We do not use third-party tracking beacons, cross-site profiling scripts, or intrusive advertising telemetry.

To enable standard e-commerce features without requiring account creation, we utilize your web browser's standard localStorage mechanism for:

  • Shopping Bag (avenwick_cart_v1): Retains product identifiers and desired quantities so your selections remain in your bag when navigating between pages.
  • Wishlist (avenwick_wishlist_v1): Retains identifiers of equipment you have bookmarked for comparison.

This data remains strictly stored on your own physical computer or mobile device. It is never transmitted to, sold to, or harvested by third-party tracking companies.

3. Demonstration Mode Disclosures

The checkout interface on Avenwick operates as a frontend demonstration prototype:

  • We do not process live credit or debit cards, and no payment card data is ever collected or transmitted.
  • Customer contact and delivery addresses entered during the simulated checkout are processed strictly inside your local browser runtime to generate simulated order references.
  • Newsletter and contact submissions perform client-side format validation and are not dispatched to unverified external storage servers.

4. Your Data Controls

Because your cart and wishlist reside directly in your browser's local cache, you can clear this data at any time by clicking "Clear Shopping Bag" on the cart page or by clearing your browser cookies and site data for avenwick.site.

5. Policy Amendments

Any updates to our data handling practices will be published on this page with an updated modification timestamp.
